Midnight Sun Service Dogs was founded by two individuals that lived with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and with the help of their service dogs were able to experience a new way of living and coping with PTSD. Although they fought different wars, one was on the actual battle field of Iraq and Afghanistan and the other in the home with domestic violence, the battles were the same. Night terrors, isolation, anxiety, fear, hyper vigilance, anger, depression and much more. Both tried many methods to help cope, gain independence and sense of a normal life again. Counseling, medication, exercise, hospitalization and much more. The service dogs were an answer for both! So much so that they wanted to be able to form an organization that could help others obtain the same freedoms and relief.
